Lavender in all of its forms

Hard to grow : between 500 and 1,500 meters on the sunny slopes of the mountains of Haute-Provence, fine lavender is the noblest of flowers. Its essential oil, the most refined, received the AOC "Haute-Provence essential oil". It is increasingly replaced by lavandin, a hybrid between true lavender and aspic lavender : a larger plant with a higher yield of essential oil, but with lower olfactory qualities.

Producers, distilleries, museums, exhibition venues, not to mention the gastronomic breaks and the famous lavender festivals, will help you discover lavender in all of its forms.
